Storz Performance XR1200

UltimateMotorCycling.com has gotten an exclusive first look at the 2010 Storz Performance Harley-Davidson Sportster XR1200. As you may remember when Harley-Davidson decided to build its own XR1200, it had to purchase the name from Storz Performance. Storz developed the name, as it had been building its own custom XR1200s from stock Sportsters for years.

To build this motorcycle, Storz started with a brand new Harley-Davidson XR1200. They added both the Storz Performance Ceriani 55mm inverted forks, and YSS piggyback reservoir shocks to upgrade the suspension. To improve performance and add to the custom look they went to a dirt track-style high-pipe exhaust, wire-spoke wheel conversion (with polished stainless steel spokes) and a slick set of billet-hubs.

Still not satisfied, Storz Performance next added 330mm floating front discs, a chain-drive conversion kit, billet foot controls and shifter kit, and clip-ons to round out the performance upgrades. Final upgrades to enhance comfort and to drive home the race-inspired look were the additions of a solo seat tail section and Saddlemen pad. All wrapped-up in one beautiful performance package. The 2010 Storz Performance Harley-Davidson Sportster XR1200 will be available as a complete motorcycle, as a kit, or by the piece.
