Leggero Cafe Racer by Walt Siegl

German custom builder Walt Siegl has developed a stylish and modern cafe-racer called Leggero. While only a prototype for now, Walt expects to produce a small batch of motorcycles based on a Ducati two-cylinder 900cc engine.

Walt Siegl: “I wanted to use classic sport/racing design elements that are clearly recognizable. That includes almost all aspects of the build, from exhaust to frame design. The frame is built with 4130 chromoly steel tubing and weighs 19 lbs. Front and rear suspension are by Showa, unless the customer opts for Öhlins. The engines are rebuilt 900cc two-valve Ducati units, fitted with 39mm Keihins FCRs.”

Features Leggero Series:

• Motor Ducati 900
• Keihin FCR carburetors 39mm
• Homemade steel exhaust systems in the style of Conti
• Frame made of chromium-molybdenum (4130) tubes, made in the image frame Ducati Verlicchi TT1/TT2 and weighs just 8.6 kg
• Showa fork, Öhlins shock absorbers
• Carbon-fibre body, fuel tank and tail
