BMW C Evolution

BMW Motorrad have unveiled their 2017 updated C evolution electric scooter Using a new generation of batteries, as used in the current BMW i3 electric vehicle, the scooter is praised for its increased range compared to other models in the market.

The C Evolution will be available in two versions - the Long Range and the European models. The first offers a continuous output of 19 kW (26 HP), which is 8 kW (11 HP) more than the predecessor model. Peak output for this variant maxes out at 35 kW (47 HP).

Thanks to a new generation of batteries with a cell capacity of 97 Ah, the range has also been extended to around 160 km (100 miles). Top speed is limited at 129 km/h (80 mph), and it will reach 50 km/h (31 mph) from a stand still in 2.8 seconds.

For Europe only, there will be an A1 compliant model with a continuous output of 11 kW (15 HP) and a maximum of 35 kW (48 HP). The model is rated at a top speed of 120 km/h (74 mph) and a range of around 100 km (62 miles) on a full battery.

The BMW C Evolution also comes with an extended range of standard features including a multifunctional TFT instrument cluster, LED daytime running lights, LED turn signals, different riding modes, and even a reverse mode. ABS and regenerative braking are offered as standard along with a charging cable with a smaller diameter than the previous model.

Its three-disc braking system and a low center of mass make the C Evolution an agile city runabout. And thanks to its compact drivetrain, there’s enough room under the seat to fit a full-size helmet or your groceries bag.
