GVWR - Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

.

The GVWR refers to the maximum weight a vehicle is designed to carry including the net weight of the vehicle with accessories, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, and cargo.

The GVWR is a safety standard used to prevent overloading.

Related to this is the load capacity of a bike.  In essence it is the difference between the wet weight (all fuel, oil and other liquids added to the bike's dry-weight) and the GVWR.  It therefore tells you how much weight can be added to the bike in the form of persons and luggage.
