Suitability for sports use and touring are now combined in one machine which has introduced a new generation to BMW. After the first test ride, the development criteria were evident to the AC Schnitzer engineers: an even more relaxed seating position for long journeys and sports performance, optimised wheels and more sound.Delicate spokes and weight optimisation are combined in the new ultralight ACS I forged alloy wheels, sizes 3.5, 5.5 and 6.0 x 17". A set weighs less than 8 kg and in conjunction with the Superbike steering conversion, ensures even better machine control and cornering performance.

In the development of the Superbike steering conversion, the line between sporting and touring suitability has been relocated. A totally new fork bridge of high strength aluminium is used, and a steering link strut specially designed for the K 1200 S. This makes the Supersports bike into a Supersports Tourer with a comfortable seating position and optimum machine control.

The acoustic signal comes from the AC Schnitzer Revolution silencer with EC approval, which with its motorsport heritage further reinforces the sporting style of the K 1200S. The silencer is fitted with a removable DB killer and is available with or without catalist.

Tested clutch and brake levers of high-strength aeronautical aluminium not only look sophisticated, but are also adjustable over a wide range. These are also available for the complete F 800 series and for many other BMW models.
