Arial Ace Black Edition
Limited edition Ariel Ace – Black Edition Ariel are pleased to announce the Black Edition Ariel Ace. Limited to just five examples, the Black Edition was unveiled at the Motorcycle Live Show in Birmingham UK in 2022.
At the centre of the Ace Black Edition, is the unique Ariel CNC machined and hand-welded aluminium frame finished with black satin Cerakote™. Developed as an ultra fine ceramic coating, Cerakote has unmatched abrasion, corrosion and chemical resistance. Used in aerospace and at only 7 microns thick, it allows the beauty of the Ariel machined frame and other aluminium components to be highlighted in the final finish. A composite tank, belly pan, radiator shrouds, mudguards and seat panel are finished in black but are also available in black carbon as an option. The single seat can be complemented by luggage carriers or an add-on dual seat with the unique Ariel fold down footrests.
As with the Ariel Atom 4 and Nomad cars, power comes from Honda with the Ace Black Edition featuring a 1237cc V4 Unicam engine developing 173bhp, plus a 6 speed gearbox and shaft drive. Complete with switchable traction control, the Ace Black achieves 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 165mph. Front suspension is by Showa 43mm adjustable forks with machined clip-on handlebars, while the rear is a Pro-Link single sided swing arm with Showa adjustable damper. Braking is via twin front 320mm floating discs with six-piston radial calipers and a rear single 276mm floating disc with two-piston sliding caliper. The braking system features linked brakes with ABS.
As with all Ariel products, every motorcycle is built to individual order and by one technician who will build each Black Edition Ace from start to finish, finally putting his builder’s plaque with signature on the frame. The Black Edition can be further personalised with options ranging from black girder forks to black carbon wheels to suit the specific demands of each customer.
