Considered by many to be the prettiest of the pre war motorcycles this matching numbers machine was produced for only one year due to a design revamp at BSA.

The adverts state that "For the man that wants something a little better than the standard. the de luxe is just the model. it has numerous detail refinements such as a separate oil tank. 4 speed gearbox. steering damper and adjustable handlebars etc"

De Luxe versions came with the four-speed gearbox and a choice of foot or hand change. Production of the popular B-Series 250s continued to the decade’s end when the range was superseded by the new C-Series quarter-litre models – the C10 and C11.
