BMW R nineT Urban G/S '6 DAYS 66' from Ronna Norén of Unique Custom Cycles

.

Paying homage to the BMW R 80 G/S produced during the 80’s, BMW Motorrad Sweden got the builders Ronna Norén of Unique Custom Cycles to build a classic custom scrambler.

The first thing to be changed on the Urban G/S was the two rider seat. It was swapped for a chopped version from the R nineT Scrambler variant, and capped with a custom rear fender that matched the shape of the newly made tubular subframe. Replacing the subframe allowed for UCC to ditch the stock air box, making way for a pair of clamp on K&N filters, which cut down on some of the bulky look carried by the stock setup.

Suspension was swapped for a heavy duty set from Öhlins, giving the bike a Retro43 fork and STX46 rear shock, which perched the bike perfectly for an aggressive stance.

The front suspension was raised by an extra 50 mm in front and 75 mm at the rear.

An Akrapovič full stainless steel and titanium exhaust system was fitted.

It would be ungenerous not to give importance to the livery.  The paint job was done by Hakan Lindberg, in a dark beige opaque paint (which changes with the variation of light) and which perfectly matches the gold color of the frame and the Öhlins suspension.

'6 Days 66' was painted on the tank together with the BMW HP-style golden stripes.
