Indian Scout Bobber ‘Chopper’ By Alfredo Juarez

.

Alfredo Juarez, a NASA engineer from Las Cruces, New Mexico has won the Indian Motorcycle ‘The Wrench:  Scout Bobber Build Off competition’, with his custom Indian Scout Bobber.

As the grand prize winner, Juarez will be awarded $10,000 and will receive a feature story in Hot Bike magazine on his custom Indian Scout Bobber.

The other two finalists were PJ Grakauskas, who is a safety inspector for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and mechanical engineer Christian Newman.

Juarez’s bare-bones chopper, featuring a completely custom hardtail frame, drew inspiration by a number of different mechanical works of art, both in and out of the motorcycle industry.

Juarez's custom Indian Scout Bobber features an impressive 100 barely-tamed horsepower of its 69-cubic-inch v-twin.  The exposed frame allows for a closer look of the engine.

His thoughts on the Indian Scout Bobber:
"Killer bike! It handles great stock, runs smooth, and looks tough. I love the stressed-member engine design; the engine is a jewel. Tearing into it I was really impressed with the fit and finish, little things that make the bike oh so clean"

“I cannot thank Indian Motorcycle enough for the opportunity. Not only was this a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but the three-month build period created an incredible bonding experience for me and my family,” said Juarez. “And of course, thanks to all the fans who took the time to cast their vote. I know it wasn’t easy to pick one because the other two bikes are incredible.
