This is a BMW-powered dustbin
from Turkish designer
Mehmet Doruk Erdem, that is simply named
“Kahn”. Based on the Bavarian brand’s twin-cylinder boxer
engine, Erdem once again creates an eye-catching shell to house
the mechanics of the machine, and hides them from the wind.
Mehmet Doruk Erdem used a 1994 R1100R, which
only produces 80hp and a top speed of less than 200km/h, build the KHAN with
extremely aerodynamic lines which gives you a high-speed feel, even when
stopped.
The forward-leaning position, with the feet placed far behind and the arms
extended forward, just inches from the ground, should also create a dizzying
sense of speed if it were ever possible to drive it.
The boxer engine, the inverted levers, the leather seat and the large rear wheel
rim contrast with the avant guard lines of the design, but is aesthetically
balanced as a whole.
