PGM 2.0 Liter V8 by Paul G. Maloney
Australian, Paul G. Maloney, who founded Maltec Performance
Engineering in 2008, and his team, built a powerful V8
motorcycle, the PGM-V8. The PGM is powered by a 2-litre
1996cc, 90-degree V8 with the engine pumping out a massive 249kW
/ 334hp at 12,800rpm and 214Nm of torque at 9500rpm, measured at
the countershaft sprocket. Brembo GP4 Nickel plated calipers are at the front, with dual 320mm discs. At the rear a Brembo P4-34 Nickel plated caliper on 220mm disc is used, mated to a Yamaha YZF-R1 swingarm.
The front wheels is a 17.0 x 3.50 Marchesini 10 spoke, forged aluminium and a 17.0 x 6.00 Marchesini 10 spoke, forged aluminium wheel at the rear. A pair of Akraopovic custom-built titanium 4-into-2-into-1 exhausts, and carbon fiber bodywork are additional weight-savings, to give it a wet weight of 242kg / 533lbs.
"Well – it’s not often that I’m left speechless
- it is literally a 'super' bike in every sense. It is an incredible
motorcycle".
Sand cast aluminium crankcases are shot-peened and heat
treated for strength, durability and corrosion resistance. All machining is done
by CNC for accuracy and repeatability.
