Yamaha SR 400 "Indy Mile" by Gasolina

.

Gasolina design studio was created by Carl Cerra who’s roots originate in Automotive Design and concept prototyping for leading brands.

Yamaha technicians entrusted Carl to design a special limited edition Yamaha SR400 concept.  Kenny Robert's Yamaha 500 GP racer, with which he won three world championships, was the inspiration for the modern-day "Indy Mile" street tracker.

Carl said "The intent was to make it look like a factory bike from Yamaha, instead of taking a new bike and simply trying to make it look old, we wanted it to look like a production tracker - with a little retro flavour.”

The "Indy Mile's" bodywork was redesigned, replacing the superstructure with pieces of handmade fiberglass.  A new ducktail rear section, side covers and headlight shroud was made.  The front mudguard was "inherited" from a dirt bike, the seat is custom-made, the front forks are standard but aftermarket gas units have replaced the rear shocks. The exhaust system is crafted and manufactured by Danmoto, with headlights and handlebars both from Biltwell Tracker and  has Pirelli Scorpion tires.

The kit has been designed to be easily assembled and will be put on the market.
