Yard Built Yamaha V-Max CS 07 Gasoline Dragster
Portuguese builders 'it roCkS!bikes' – based in Oporto, is continuing its CS series of Yard Built bikes with a Yamaha V-Max fitted with monocouque bodywork dressed in Yamaha’s yellow, black and white racing colour scheme. It was build to celebrate the Ymaha's 60th anniversary of motorcycle production and 30 years of the V-Max. The CS has a very simple explanation: the two guys behind it roCkS!bikes are Alexandre Santos and Osvaldo Coutinho, so the C and S stand for their surnames. The bike uses the duo’s trademark monocoque tank, seat and tail unit which features on all of the outfits’ builds, and creates a dummy fuel tank in the conventional place, while the real one is actually located under the rider’s seat. The list of parts used includes Brembo brake and clutch master cylinders, a SC Project exhaust system, through to a host of LSL, Rizoma, and Motogadget accessories that help finish the machine and reflect its quality. The Gasoline has been influenced by drag racing bikes, from the overall stance and presence given to the bike by the hand crafted metal fairing, to the slick Rear Mickey Thomson tyre that will help it to put power down on its custom made spoke wheels.
