BMW R 100RS THE SHED Café Racer

.

MODIFIED 1981 BMW R100 RS AS A CAFÉ RACER.
WE CALL IT THE SHED BECAUSE IT WAS EXACTLY THAT WHEN WE BOUGHT IT IN NOVEMBER 2006, BEFORE RESTORATION TOOK PLACE.

APPARENTLY ENGINE HAS BEEN REBUILT IN 2000 BUT UPON INSPECTION IT WAS IN A VERY POOR STATE, WITH A BADLY REGROUND CRANK (IT IS USED AS OUR PAPERWEIGHT NOW).
EVIDENCE SEEMS TO SUPPORT IT HAS DONE 68927 MILES UP TO NOV 2006 WHEN I BOUGHT IT AS A NON-RUNNER, NOW YOU CAN CONSIDER IT PRETTY MUCH AS A NEW BIKE.

IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT, WITH AN EYE FOR DETAIL AND VERY PEDANTIC APPROACH.
HUNDREDS OF HOURS HAVE GONE PREPARING THIS BIKE, SOME QUITE AGONIZING, BUT THAT’S THE FUN OF IT!

ENGINE HAS SUFFERED A SERIOUS TUNE UP, WITH A 336 CAM, WEIGHT BALANCED AND LIGHTENED RODS&PISTONS, SMOOTHED PORTS ETC,
