BMW R nine T 'Cara' by Viba

.

Viba, a custom motorcycle house based in  La Rochelle, France, is bringing this BMW R nine T into the modern age with a host of 3D-printed parts, and transformed the BMW's infinitely customizable platform with a futuristic look.

In collaboration with SLM Solutions Group AG, a metal additive manufacturer and Erpro Group, a 3D factory, this bespoke motorcycle named "Cara" was build.  The bike is named after Cara Jocelyn Delevingne, a British fashion model, and only a limited edition of 23 units will be build.

Stand-out features of Cara's 3D-printed components are:

  • A set of winglet-style pieces from glass bead-reinforced polyamide, above the blacked-out cylinder heads
  • A headlight surround for the LED headlight
  • A bespoke aluminum top triple with an integrated analog speedometer
  • Front fender
  • Side fairing
  • Air intake with an additive manufactured nickel-chromium alloy muffler, and hiding the rear facing indicators
  • Inconel exhaust
  • Stainless steel subframe
  • Glass bead reinforced polyamide sub-seat tray
  • A bi-injection silicone all constitute the new tunnelled tail section
  • Bespoke aluminum square shaped handlebars
  • A rear subframe, with a solo seat which integrates seamlessly into the overall design

The "Cara" with its gloss black paint scheme and total lack of coloured elements, gives this custom a stealth looking appearance.
