Harley Davidson Dyna by Kraus

.

One of the most controversial projects coming from the Kraus custom motorcycle shop in northern California is the Dyna model, which is much more than can be seen with naked eye. Starting from an ordinary 1999 Harley-Davidson Dyna motorcycle, this machine turned to what appears to be a dream bike for many.

“I have a lot of full custom bikes and love to ride them but with that much work and time invested it’s hard to take them out and beat ‘em up on a daily basis. I set out to have a stocker that was for the most part, replaceable. I started this project with a ugly, heavy, 1999 Harley Dyna...” Satya Kraus, owner of Kraus Motor Company, begins the story.

Specifically, Kraus has fitted a racing inverted front fork, running big radial brakes. Furthermore, visual enhancements have been made through a set of black aluminum spoke wheels and some oversized Ohlins shocks on the rear.

The rear fender struts were cut short, while the oversized square box on the side of the bike the housed the electrical wires has been removed. An aluminum tail section was fabricated to offer a dirt bike feel, while the gas tank has also been custom made. A handmade Gucci seat has also been fitted.

Other features include an Acerbis LED headlight, Brembo handlebars, and more custom work here and there, which helped the bike perform great at Sturgis.

“Able to lie the bike over in a corner and not worry about the kickstand or controls slapping the ground gives the competent rider piece of mind and confidence,” concluded Kraus.
