KTM 950 SMR “Bullet” by Fabman Creations
FabMan Creations is based in Port Elizabeth South Africa, and it was founded by Wayne Buys as a result of a passion for metal work and the love of motorcycles. Wayne has worked as a qualified millright for over 30 years with a strong mechanical background and brings to to the industry a skillset that shines through in the products created. As a fan of Steve McQueen and the original movie “On Any Sunday” Wayne wanted to pay tribute to his love of off-road motorcycling by building his take on a modern KTM and aptly naming it "Bullet". The KTM supermoto was stripped off its Kiska-designed plastics and fitted with a new hooped, kicked-up subframe that’s been capped off with a ribbed leather, scrambler-style saddle. Wayne has bestowed the KTM with a custom tank and matching radiator shrouds, front and side number plates, fenders front and rear, fork guards, and a skid-plate/belly-pan combo piece with a dual-lined bottom. He made a beautiful billet tail light with LED’s, as for the headlight it came from a VW Golf with custom made bucket and bezel. Other noteworthy additions include a revised cockpit with new bars, Trailtech instrumentation, custom switchgear, bar-end LED indicators, Domino grips, plus a set of spoked rims 17/19” plucked from a Ducati Multistrada adventure bike and shod in Scorpion Rally rubber, Wayne made a gorgeous, lobster-cut, dual one-into-one, hand-polished stainless steel exhaust system culminating in a pair of under-seat cans. To complete the build, all parts were given a brushed look to show off the aluminium, clear coated with some black and grey added for color. Of course all the parts were hand fabricated from aluminium and stainless steel buy Wayne – including the seat work and paint job! Source FabMan Creations
