Triumph Thruxton R Malasangre by Tamarit Motorcycles
Tamarit Motorcycles based in Alicante, Spain, is a European custom workshop with an impressive 57 custom Triumph builds using parts Tamarit have developed in house. This Triumph Thruxton R custom project called Malasangre, which translates to Bad Blood in English, was build for a customer who approached the Tamarit team with a 2017 Thruxton R and he wanted a radical makeover for his bike. His straight forward brief was: “This is the budget I have, you can do whatever you want but surprise me big time with a top Tamarit build.” After agreeing to a dark aesthetic and retaining the bike’s café racer elements, Tamarit went to work.
Several modifications were installed on this bike that never were used before by Tamarit such as the Kineo rims and horn-shaped filters provided by the Italian company FreeSpirits. They used MotoGadget’s m-Blaze series for the LED indicators and ribbed covers from French producer EDM. The usual Tamarit parts to be installed on this kind of build for the Triumph Thruxton 1200 R are for example the Tamarit Belly pan, valid for every liquid cooled model, as well as their Mónaco seat, a must-install part on all this Café Racer classic builds. The forward-facing 180-degree inlet tubes are designed to maximize airflow and reduce engine temperatures. Tamarit fitted a custom 2-into-2 exhaust system which increased the horsepower. The colours for the Malasangre is kept dark as per customer request. The dominant use of black refers to Bad, and Blood refers to the elegant red Burdeaux used by matching the colours for the rim spokes and the leather seat upholstery and tank strap.
