Suzuki Katana 1135R Yoshimura
At the exhibition in Cologne in 1980, Suzuki
presented a motorcycle that the time was a design far ahead of the
competition. The motorcycle was called Katana GSX-S and was equipped with a
four-cylinder in-line air-cooled 1100 cc engine capacity. The design was
commissioned to Target Design, European style center. Initially the bike had
little success because the public was not yet mature enough to "accept" a
motorcycle for the time very innovative. Despite everything, the bike,
subsequently developed by Suzuki in other versions of displacement child has
finished his career production in 2001 (as 1100), only in Japan, in a final
set of a few specimens.
The Yoshimura, a company that we know today for the production of exhaust systems and special partsin Japan is also a real builder on a special Suzuki, in individual pieces and small series. The bike is just a revisiting of the mythical Katana 1100. The technicians Yoshimura led the motor to 1135 cc and they have a series of special parts built by them that make this bike cattivissima and, in my opinion, still present despite age. Note the splendid swingarm with reinforcement truss below, the beautiful plate of steering, the four carburetors with croissants aluminum, and Magtan circles. Another refinement worthy of note: the Yoshimura logo embossed on the tank.
Weight Stock 241.2kg > Yoshimura 197.8kg
