Yamaha XSR700 "Swank Rally 700" by Deus Ex Machina
The “Swank Rally 700” based on a versatile and easily customizable Yamaha XSR700 ws customized by Deus Ex Machina, who has been building custom bikes since 2006. The official Global Partnership between Yamaha and Deus since 2013, has been growing stronger.
The Yamaha XSR700 “Swank Rally” made its debut at the Rally of Sardinia and was ridden by olympic MTB rider Marco Aurelio Fontana, where it performed exceptionally well. It was then taken to partake at the wank Rally Wheels and Waves in Biarritz.
The 689cc
liquid-cooled DOHC inline twin-cylinder motor's strong linear torque and agile
lightweight chassis formed the ideal base for the new project. With off-road
entertainment and action in mind, Deus mounted a Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200 front
end, including forks, to the XSR along with a 19" front wheel. Softer springs
were used to account for the lower weight of the XSR700 and an Öhlins mono-shock
rear was used to balance the suspension. Kineo tubeless spoke wheels were fitted
front and rear and Metzeler Karoo rubber ensures maximum grip in the dirt.
The foot pegs are in metal, for off-road use. The exhaust has been replaced with a unique black custom made SC, 2-in-1, which is significantly lighter than the original.
