The CB500F joined Honda’s mid-sized line-up in 2013. Compact in size but punching way above its weight, it injects the adrenaline and excitement of full-sized motorcycle ownership into every ride for A2 licence-holders moving up from a 125cc; at the same time, its all-round agility, punchy performance and sensible running costs make it a great motorcycle with which to commute through the week and ride for pleasure at the weekend, whatever the rider’s experience level.

'The 2016 CB500F is a bold evolution that elevates the machine still further, with a shot of naked streetfight style and rider-focussed upgrades that add more fun, pride of ownership and desirability.

'While its 471cc DOHC engine - producing 35kW and returning 83mpg - and steel diamond-tube frame remain unchanged, the CB500F emerges for 2016 with new aggressively-sculpted lines front to back. The styling shows off the machine’s mechanical forms; LED headlight and taillight are high quality finishing touches

'A larger 16.7 litre fuel tank extends range, and detail improvements such as hinged fuel cap, adjustable-reach brake lever and ‘wave’ style ignition key elevate the overall owning experience.

'The riding experience is improved with the addition of adjustable spring preload in the front forks, redesigned shift drum for smoother gear changes and new short exhaust muffler, with tuned internals, that emits a crisp howl in keeping with the engine’s engaging power delivery.'

Features

•471cc Liquid-Cooled Parallel-Twin
•Naked Sportbike Styling
Innovation And Versatility.

Like the machines that made Honda famous in the U.S., its two-cylinder parallel-twin layout provides a wide powerband and plenty of torque, while a counterbalancer keeps things running smooth. In addition, the CB500F’s neutral, classic seating position makes it a perfect fit for someone who wants a bike that can do it all, and do it all well.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)

Available ABS on the CB500F helps you make smoother, more controlled stops under less-than-ideal conditions.

New Exhaust

Another upgrade for 2016 is the CB500F’s shorter mass centralized exhaust. Internal changes give you a crisper exhaust note that you’re going to love.

Pro-Link® Rear Suspension

A sophisticated chassis with Honda Pro-Link® rear suspension, nine-stage preload, and 4.7 travel give you a comfortable ride over small bumps, while capably absorbing bigger bumps to increase riding comfort and handling.

Steel-Tube Frame

A motorcycle’s frame is the basis for its handling. A take on a classic construction, the CB500F’s diamond-shaped 35mm steel-tube mainframe ties to the engine with four mounts, offering a rock-solid foundation for a superior ride and handling.

Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)

Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) continuously monitors several variables to ensure the correct fuel mixture is delivered for the existing riding and atmospheric conditions for crisp throttle response throughout a wide variety of riding conditions.

DOHC Twin-Cylinder Engine

Honda twins are famous for their versatility, and the CB500F engine is one of our best ever. Using the same piston bore size as our CBR600RR sportbike, the parallel-twin engine offers accessible performance across all RPM ranges.

Cast Wheels

Strong and stylish, the CB500F’s 12-spoke cast-aluminum wheels are easy to keep clean, look great, and are another CB500F feature that just makes sense.

Disc Brakes

The front 320mm wave-style disc brake and 240mm rear provide strong stopping power.

Unique Style

Less is more when it comes to the CB500F, but for 2016, we’ve fine-tuned that look to freshen things up a bit. With its classic, clean, progressive style, the CB500F is a motorcycle that looks great while still providing incredible value and performance.

LED Headlight

A new styling element for 2016, the CB500F’s LED headlight gives the front end a cutting-edge look and also projects plenty of light on the road for visibility.

Digital Instrumentation

A full LCD blue-tinted screen features a digital speedometer and tachometer and more, including a clock, odometer, trip meter, real-time and average fuel consumption meters, and illuminated engine diagnostic indicators.

Step Seat

The CB500F offers a step seat with a low height. Perfect for around-town riding or out in the canyons, it also offers plenty of room for a passenger and is specially designed to fit a wide range of riders.

Seat Strap

Sturdy rear passenger seat strap offers a firm handhold for your passenger.
