Honda CB 300F
This lightweight and nimble-handling naked bike offers plenty of fun for beginners and experienced motorcyclists. Featuring a 300-class engine, the CB300F carries a dash of attitude and independence along with its versatile creds. Whether for commuting, zipping around town or headed out for a weekend ride, its roomy ergonomics, great handling and broad powerband make every ride a blast. Thanks to its affordable price tag, adding on a few Honda Genuine Accessories is easy—a simple way to give it that extra bit of flair and make it unique. Craving the purest riding experience around? Look no further Lots of riders believe less is more, and that’s why so many like this bike. The CB300F was designed to be lighter, smaller and simpler, but it’s still loaded with features. And with its user-friendly size, it’s a great choice for the city and makes an ideal first bike. Like our CBR300R, the CB300F uses a totally up-to-date single-cylinder engine. The fuel injection system and electric start make it convenient, but the best feature of all may be its combination of enthusiastic power delivery along with awesome fuel efficiency. Practical meets performance—it’s not an either/or proposition with the CB300F—you get to have your cake and eat it too. Low and Nimble The CB300F’s narrowness helps make it one of the most maneuverable bikes around. This is all thanks to its single-cylinder engine, low 30.7-inch seat height and light 348-pound curb weight. What you get is a bike that’s easy to put your feet down at a stoplight and a blast to ride the moment it turns green. Singular Accomplishment The crowning achievement of the CB300F is its single-cylinder engine with fuel injection, double-overhead cams and a counterbalancer. What you get is the kind of torque and midrange power that’s well suited for all levels of riders. Ride More. Fill Up Less The CB300F rocks when it comes time to fill up. With a fuel economy estimate of 78 MPG*, you’re more likely to be laughing at high gas prices. Plus, the CB300F can carry a passenger and is freeway capable. Get all the versatility you need.
Options The CB300F offers an excellent balance of beginner-friendly features, while experienced riders will appreciate Honda’s famous engineering refinement. Everyone will like the CB300F’s light weight, superb handling, broad powerband and unmatched build quality. Best of all, the CB300F is available in two versions: the CB300F and the CB300F ABS with our Anti-lock Braking System. Features & Options 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine Features 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine The right amount of performance The 286 cc single-cylinder engine boasts high-performance features such as dual overhead camshafts driven by a Hy-Vo-type silent chain, forked roller rocker arms, a compact four-valve cylinder head, a counterbalance shaft, and liquid cooling. Light & nimble Light & nimble The light and compact engine contributes to the CB300FA’s nimble steering, intuitive handling and impressive power-to-weight ratio, allowing it to compete with twin-cylinder bikes of similar displacement. Easy maintenance Shim-style valve adjustment allows easy inspection and maintenance, although with extended inspection intervals you’ll ride a long, long time between adjustments. Compact engine design The engine countershaft sits lower than the mainshaft in a “stacked” formation to reduce the engine’s front-to-rear dimensions.
Frugal on fuel The engine produces a remarkably broad torque curve for strong low-rpm performance, the wide spread of power makes the CB300FA easy and confidence-inspiring to ride, in both stop-and-go situations and on the highway, while also returning impressive fuel economy. Efficient engine The crankshaft runs in plain bearings for quieter operation and the big end of the connecting rod spins in a needle bearing, both contributing to the engine’s high-performance credentials. Less vibration – more comfort A gear-driven counterbalance shaft helps quell engine vibration for enhanced rider comfort. It’s located so close to the crankshaft that the balancer weight passes between the two crank weights to keep the engine as compact as possible while improving mass centralization. Crisp throttle response Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) continuously monitors several variables to ensure the correct fuel mixture for the current riding and atmospheric conditions. The system delivers optimal performance and remarkably crisp throttle response over a wide range of operating conditions, plus improved fuel economy.
Broad power delivery The six-speed transmission works in concert with the engine’s broad power delivery to produce quick acceleration and excellent fuel economy around town. Taller final drive gearing further improves fuel efficiency during highway cruising. Impressive handling & comfort Diamond-shaped twin-spar steel frame plus a 37 mm front fork and Pro-Link single-shock rear suspension provide impressive handling and a comfortable ride. Available Anti-lock braking system The CB300FA’s ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) provides sure control even on difficult road surfaces. Outstanding manoeuvrability Curb weight of only 157.8 kg gives the CB300FA outstanding manoeuvrability and helps instill rider confidence. Upright seating = Clear view & control Upright seating position provides a clearer view of the road ahead and helps enhance control. Grip & handling of a bigger bike Full-sized 17-inch cast wheels with a 110/70 – 17 front tire and a 140/70 – 17 rear tire provide big-bike feel, grip and handling traits. Lightweight & attractive Minimal bodywork with clean, open, sporty styling is not only attractive it makes the CB300FA even lighter. Information at a glance Multi-function digital instrument panel includes speedometer, tachometer, engine temperature display, fuel gauge, clock, odometer and trip meter. Plant your feet with ease A narrow, low-mounted seat makes it easier to reach the ground. Double-up with confidence Grab rails on the tail section are designed to fit gloved hands, giving passengers a dedicated handhold while riding two-up. Convenient under-seat stowing Handy under-seat storage area is lockable to help keep small valuables safe.
