The CBR 450 SR is a sports bike manufactured in Brazil . Results of a survey of public utilities and 1987 , to know what should be improved in CB ( CB 400 , also Honda) CBR 450 SR was born in September 1989 as the first national sports with four-stroke engine. Every faired with a very modern design for its time, impressed by the beauty, aesthetically inspired by the Japanese CBR 250RR MC17 version produced in 1987, which even takes many parts of the fairing. The use of parts explains the lack of function of air vents on the side of the cowl, since the original Japanese serving these vents exhaust air already heated by the radiator.

Launched in an era of closed imports, the CBR had the closest competitor RD 350 R, but it was much more expensive. Although under the DR, which developed 55 hp, snoring performance of your engine was a true "music" for those who prefer the four-stroke. In all the time that produced the CBR has not suffered mechanical changes, or drawing of cycling: the only changes were the graphics, in 1991 and 1993. The model 1991, with the white, red and blue colors, is known to his fans by his nickname "Captain America" in 1993 and some were dubbed "Babaloo". The most classic typefaces were in 1989/1990.

In December 1994 CBR 450 SR ceased to be manufactured, imported as were increasingly intense competition. Its price was high before the offering in performance and certainly influenced the growth of the naked wave, motorcycle without fairing, as Suzuki GS 500E also imported, which was offered at similar price.
