The CX500C appeared in 1979 with very-j few changes to the B model's engine but with such usual custom features as a high, wide handlebar, lower, stepped dualseat and a small fuel tank—in this case holding 2'/2 gallons instead of the original 3% j gallons. Short megaphone-style silencers were another change, and the cowling around the headlamp had been abandoned in favour of conventional supports.
