Review

This is a proper big single. Don't buy one unless you like big singles. Don't be expecting it to pull like a Bandit / Fazer / Gixxer etc.
The main thing about this bike is the smile it puts on your face. I'd recommend removing the smog pump, remove the baffles from the standard silencers and fit a 175 main jet. This totally transforms the bike.
It will pull from 3K RPM in top, great thumping pulses of torque delivered through a surprisingly smooth drive train.
The gearbox is sublime, no jumping out of 2nd (BMW F650 owner's take note).
If you dump the clutch properly and give it a handful it will LEAP forward from the traffic lights, I've beaten Gixxers from the line, of course once they get over the shock they quickly reel you in, but you win the traffic light GP.
The handling is superb, you need to load up the front wheel by leaning forward and into the bends, but scraping the pegs is not at all difficult even on enduro tyres.
The useable top speed is about 85MPH any more and you're in danger of trashing the top end. Cruising at 70MPH (4700RPM) is fine, if a little windy on the upper body.
The bikes torque delivery makes overtaking on A roads a breeze, it'll run 5th gear down to 50MPH and punches hard if you open it up fully.
Off road performance is not bad, better than the F650 I used to own, the 41mm forks and generous ground clearance keep things composed and the engine has oodles of grunt to loft the front over the rocks. The bike is a little heavy to pick up, but again not as heavy as the F650.
Maintainance is a dream, 4 screw and locknut tappets and OIF means you can do a full service in 1/2 hour.
Reliability is perfect thus far, I'm doing 1000 miles a month and have done for the last 6 months with no worries.
I change the oil and filter every 1000 miles with semi-synth 10W40.
Economy is about 60MPG (with the baffles removed, 50MPG with them in place), which is good enough.

In summary it's a great bike with plenty of soul (especially surprising since it's a Honda), it's a proper big single B road basher and terrific fun to ride. Just don't go for a ride with sportsbike owning mates, you will not enjoy it.
