The Honda NX 500 Dominator is an all-terrain motorcycle. The Enduro was built from 1988 to 2000, was next to the NX 650 is also the variants of NX 125, 250 and 500
All variants possessed a four-stroke engine with a cylinder and four valves, an electric starter and, initially, a kick starter. The 500 cc version differs only in the lower cylinder capacity of 650 cc version. The 250 cc version is an original model, however, since the motor is water cooled as opposed to the two large air-cooled engines. Also, trim, frame and design of the 250 differ from the 500 / 650 cc versions significantly. The Honda NX125, some with the surname Trans City, is seen rarely in Germany as it is to get only as an import from France, Italy or Brazil.

During the production of the Honda motorcycle was modified again and again slightly. From the year 1991 due to stricter emission regulations, a secondary air system (SLS) have been used, which reduced the capacity of initially 45 to 44 hp. In 1996, the final assembly of the motorcycle from Hamamatsu, Japan Atessa, Italy laid. As a result of the purchase price has been reduced, but also to loss of quality be gone hand in hand.

NX 650 was the successor to the Honda SLR 650, with the same 650 cc single-cylinder engine. However, the SLR 650 and its successor, the Honda Vigor, more designed as a fun bike for road use rather than as pure Enduro.
