Rough country, meet your match, Honda's XR250R.  A last-acting, mid-size enduro machine that'll conquer most any trail, stream mountain or mole-hill that stands in its way.

The XR250R is built pretty much in the same mold as the XR500.  It comes with the same sophisticated suspension package.  Claw-action tires on super-strong, super-light aluminum nms CD ignition. Compact, lightweight double-leading-shoe front brake assembly, twin-port exhaust with power chamber.  A starting system featuring an automatic decompressor, lightweight muffler and gas tank. Black-finished engine, and increased foot-peg height and ground clearance.

The engine type is the same as the XR500, four-stroke, four-valve OHC.  The XR250R has a 249cc powerplant that delivers massive torque in a smooth usable flow.

The XR250R is a little more than a scaled down version of its bigger brother.  It's got a few character traits of its own, like a new smooth-shifting, six-speed constant-mesh transmission that's geared for almost every imaginable riding condition.

A newly-designed clutch and refined engine counterbalances for lighter weight and better throttle response.
