Fantic Motorcycles debuted the Caballero 500 at the 2016 EICMA show in two versions, the Caballero Scrambler and the Caballero Flat-Track.  The two models will be equipped with a single cylinder 4 stroke engine with 3 variants, 125cc, 250cc and 500cc. These engines are developed by the Chinese brand “ZONGSHEN”.

The new Fantic Caballero Scrambler 500 is equipped with a 449cc single cylinder four stroke, developing 43hp and 40nm of torque, The chassis is a backbone steel, but the swing arm is made from aluminum, the chassis is coupled to Fantic FRS 41mm upside down fork and an Fantic FRS Mono shock at the rear.

The Caballero's braking is a single 300mm disc with four piston caliper at the front and a 245mm unit at the rear. The curb weight for each of the bikes is in the neighborhood of 320 pounds. More than 100 pounds lighter than most other, street-legal “scramblers” currently on the market.
