TWO- SEATER MOTORCYCLES BROUGH SUPERIOR LAWRENCE / DAGGER
A sharp roadster with subtle textures
The modern range of Brough Superior is expanding for 2023 with a new roadster
called Dagger, which places the brand in a new dynamic while retaining its
traditional extreme quality of manufacture.
After the Lawrence released in 2020 and the Nefud appeared in 2021, the new
roadster also refers to the legendary character of Lawrence of Arabia, Dagger
meaning "dagger" or "dagger" in the language of his native country. It is this
weapon worn in the belt (janbiya in Arabic) that Lawrence was given in 1917
after the capture of Aqaba, the culmination of the Arab Revolt which made him
famous. As a symbol, it was when the Brough Superior brand entered its modern
era that the dagger, which belonged to a collector far from Great Britain,
returned to the National Army Museum in London.
LAWRENCE'S BLADE
Like the British treasure, the Dagger appears as a sharpened roadster with
subtle textures, with a satin finish testifying to the care taken in its finish
in the Saint-Jean factory, near Toulouse. This is also where the 1000 cc
twin-cylinder was designed and assembled, with more room (power and torque up)
and now meeting Euro 5 standards.
The two-in-one exhaust with a valve the exhaust has also been designed to
perfectly match the muscular and slender lines of the Dagger, whose sharp edges
refer to Lawrence's famous blade. The enhancement of the imposing radiator, as
on the Aston Martin AMB-001 developed by Brough Superior, completes the feeling
of power given off by these new volumes.
With this marvel called Dagger, Brough Superior achieves a motorcycle more
incisive than ever, thanks to a geometry allowing more liveliness with a more
curved handlebar and 17 x 17 wheels, a first on a modern Brough Superior. The
classic range (SS 100, Anniversary) uses 18 x 18 wheels, while the other
machines in the modern range, the Lawrence and the Nefud, adopt a 19-inch wheel
at the front and 17 at the rear for a mixed ride.
As fiery and brash as the campaigns of Lawrence, the Dagger carves out a
choice slice of the Brough Superior adventure.
the Dagger comes finished in black, with lashings of chrome on the
twin-cylinder engine and understated gold finishes on the logos.
Any corrections or more information on these motorcycles will be kindly appreciated.
