Right after its launch in 1951, it was clear that the NSU Lux marked the start of a new era in motorcycle production. The Lux was primarily configured for ride comfort and with its forked front axle it represented the most modern solution for a motorcycle front fork. The tank and all bare parts were chrome-plated, giving the motorcycle an extremely desirable look.
