The Gear Up Sahara model returns in the 2016 Ural line-up with a lot of accessories as standard equipment and an even longer list of options for pretty much any scenario. Limited Edition

The Gear Up Sahara is an on-demand 2WD beast that comes with switchable shaft-drive for the sidecar wheel, and a 4-speed plus reverse manual gearbox. The final drive is, of course, a shaft one, with 42 lb-ft (57 Nm) or torque at 4,300 rpm delivered by the 749cc air-cooled 4-stroke boxer engine.

Also on the figures side, the engine can produce a maximum of 41 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, but which is more than enough to get you out of the tightest situations. Naturally, sidecars come with a lower cruising speed, and Ural recommends that riders keep under 70 mph (112 km/h). The engine is the upgraded version, with both electric and kick start, electronic fuel injection, and a double-disc dry clutch.

The build also integrates adjustable Sachs shock absorbers for both the IMZ leading fork and the single-sided swingarm, plus a 4-pot Brembo caliper in the

front, aided by a 2-piston Brembo caliper for the sidecar and an HB rear one, all with NG rotors.

Speaking about the standard equipment list, the Gear Up Sahara brags on the following:

  • On-Demand 2WD
