.

Press release issued By Aprilia:

The evolution of one of the most acclaimed motorcycles by the public and critics has arrived : it is signed by Aprilia and bears a name esteemed and respected by all sports motorcyclists, identified as a true generator of emotions. It is not a naked: it is the Tuono , always considered the benchmark in the category for effectiveness and feeling in sports riding on the road as well as in riding at the limit on the track. Aprilia was the first to understand the advantages of creating a more essential and raised version of its sports bike, giving each generation of Tuono unparalleled dynamic qualities. The new Aprilia Tuono V4 is the heir to a dynasty of motorcycles elected over time among the most adrenaline-filled ever and now reaches absolute levels of performance and sophistication, thanks to the know-how Aprilia has acquired over years of winning competitions at the highest levels.

The Tuono family is more complete and diverse than ever, capable of accompanying the motorcyclist on his or her personal growth path, but strictly made up of sporty and exciting models, worthy of the name's prestige. The range includes Tuono 125, the entry-level bike with a strong character; Tuono 457, lightweight, advanced and fun, ideal for new motorcyclists; Tuono 660 Factory with a record-breaking weight/power ratio, extremely light and accessible to all, and Tuono V4, the point of arrival of a motorcycling career.

Two models are available that stand out for their trim: Tuono V4 is the definitive hypernaked for sporty riding on the road, rigorous and exciting like no other, with the possibility of making it more comfortable and dedicated to tourism thanks to the wide availability of original Aprilia accessories; Tuono V4 Factory is the most exclusive version, dedicated to an extremely demanding public and equipped with components largely derived from Aprilia RSV4.

The new design always interprets the typical language of all Aprilias in a modern and aggressive way and is characterised by compact and essential shapes capable of enhancing their sportiness. As per tradition, the new Tuono V4s also feature the fairing fixed to the frame, essential for having a front end free from weight, precise and reactive, but the design has been completely revised to gain more protection from the air and now features two overlapping wing surfaces capable of increasing the vertical load by 2.5 kg at 250 km/h. The layout of the winglets, derived from the experience gained by Aprilia in MotoGP, was developed in the wind tunnel and allows for increased grip on the ground and consequently also rigor when cornering, an area where the previous versions of the Tuono V4 have always excelled, in addition to stability at high speeds. Furthermore, the new design contributes to improving heat dissipation thanks also to the presence of more powerful radiator fans and to increasing rider comfort, better diverting the hot air flows away from the legs. The design of the side panels is also new and integrates better with the style of the new tail fairing. The rear light cluster, lighter and more essential, is integrated into the license plate holder; all the lighting functions are performed by the direction indicators. In this way, it is sufficient to eliminate the license plate holder to prepare the bike for use on the circuit.

The equipment of the new Aprilia Tuono V4 includes the lightweight lithium battery, the 5” color TFT instrumentation with new graphics and backlit electrical blocks on the handlebars.
Tuono V4 and Tuono V4 Factory are powered by the famous and multi-titled Aprilia 65° V-four with unique characteristics. The narrow V architecture has allowed the creation of an engine with incredibly reduced longitudinal dimensions, favoring the centralization of masses and the creation of a compact chassis. There is no other engine that can boast a history of successes spanning over ten years. A platform capable of satisfying the needs of the most advanced sports motorcyclist and also representing an exceptional base for the development of a racing engine. The V4 from Noale goes from 1077 to 1099 cc and now adopts a set of 52 mm throttle bodies. The exhaust system is also new, with the catalytic converter located in a different position that reduces heat emission to the rider and facilitates the assembly of the approved slip-on exhaust terminal, present in the rich range of Aprilia accessories. In compliance with the new Euro 5+ regulation, the interventions allow the maximum power to be raised up to 180 HP at 11,800 rpm , accompanied by exceptional maximum torque values (121 Nm at 9,600 rpm), for even more effective and adrenaline-filled driving on the road and on the track.
The chassis of the Tuono V4 has always been the benchmark in the category. This is thanks to Aprilia's expertise in crafting top-notch chassis, an aspect that has reached an exceptional level of maturity on the new Tuono V4. The double-spar aluminum frame is painted in a bold matte black for the first time on the Tuono V4.

For all new Aprilia V4s, a new chapter opens regarding the on-board electronics that manage the active riding assistance systems. A new generation of control systems, which can also be purchased as an “in-app purchase” that does not require a trip to the dealer, to have the best electronic configuration depending on your needs and riding style. Aprilia introduces for the first time a series of electronic packages that best combine performance and safety, adding functions and new adjustments to the already very rich Tuono V4 equipment. The system assists the rider in safely reaching their limits, allowing them to gradually improve. This is made possible by the introduction of new adaptive/predictive components on wheelie, traction and yaw controls.

The predictive part of the algorithm processes the vehicle parameters in real time (speed, lean angle, gear, throttle opening, etc.) to prepare the gradual and targeted intervention in advance. In addition to this, the sophisticated software continuously analyses the vehicle's dynamic responses and the rider's riding style in order to offer even more refined and effective control.

Both models come standard with the six-axis inertial platform, the Ride-by-Wire electronic accelerator and 3 riding modes that manage the 3 levels of Cornering ABS and the controls present in the APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control), the well-known package of control systems directly derived from racing, which includes:
- ATC, Aprilia Traction Control , the traction control adjustable on the fly, without closing the throttle, on 8 levels, offers more effective intervention logic and now works in synergy with the new ASC (Aprilia Slide Control) adjustable on 3 independent levels.
- (New) AWC, Aprilia Wheelie Control , the new wheelie control system adjustable on 3 levels, has predictive operating strategies: the control does not intervene to abruptly mitigate a wheelie that has already started, but acts gently before the event occurs, with an advantage in performance. The adaptive function, dedicated to track sessions, learns the rider's characteristics and adjusts the level of intervention necessary to guarantee the best performance.
- AEM, Aprilia Engine Map, 3 different mappings available to change the character and way the engine delivers power.
- AEB, Aprilia Engine Brake, the engine brake control system adjustable on 3 levels, with a specific algorithm that optimises operation taking into account the lean angle.
- AQS, Aprilia Quick Shift , the electronic gearbox for extremely fast gear changes without closing the throttle and without using the clutch, equipped with a downshift function, which allows you to shift down without pressing the clutch. It also allows you to shift down with the throttle open.

The Track Pack , standard on the Tuono V4 Factory, enables:
- Dashboard race, the instrumentation configuration dedicated to the track.
- ALC, Aprilia Launch Control , the launch control system for track use only, adjustable on 3 levels, uses highly effective operating strategies.
- APL, Aprilia Pit Limiter, the system that allows you to select and limit the maximum speed allowed for proceeding along the pit lanes of circuits, or simply to easily respect the speed limits permitted on roads open to traffic.
- (New) ASC, Aprilia Slide Control, the new adjustable function that allows you to prevent and limit lateral slippage of the rear wheel. Like the new AWC, the ASC also has predictive operating strategies.

The Comfort Pack , standard on the Tuono V4 Factory, enables:
- Bending lights , the pair of additional headlights in the parabolas illuminate the inside of the curve, increasing visibility when cornering.
- ACC, Aprilia Cruise Control , very convenient during longer transfers, as it allows you to maintain the set speed without acting on the throttle control.
The Race Pack , available only for Tuono V4 Factory, includes the GPS Module which also allows you to automatically detect lap times on the track, just like on racing bikes. The Race Pack enables:
- Corner by corner function. As in the most advanced racing bikes, this system automatically changes the ATC and AWC electronic settings following what the rider sets before going out on the track. It is the most modern evolution of the corner by corner electronics management system that Aprilia was the first to introduce back in 2015.
The Suspension Pack , which requires the GPS Module, is only available for the Tuono V4 Factory and enables:
- Corner by corner suspension function,This system automatically changes the electronic settings of the semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension , following what the rider set before going out on the track.
The Race Pack and Suspension Pack work through the new fourth-generation Aprilia MIA , Aprilia's multimedia platform (offered as an accessory for both models) that allows you to connect your smartphone to the bike, extending the functions of the instrumentation.
At the end of each track session, you can download the data from the control unit and analyze it on the computer: true telemetry worthy of the best racing bikes.

Aprilia Tuono V4
The new Aprilia Tuono V4 was born from the desire to offer a more street version that exploits the exceptional technical and engine base of the Tuono V4, to offer the peculiarities and unique riding pleasure, a heritage of the Tuono V4, to motorcyclists who use the bike in a more transversal manner. The saddle-footpeg-handlebar triangle of the Tuono V4 is identical to that of the Tuono V4 Factory and clearly favors sportiness, but can be modified thanks to the higher handlebar risers, which offer a more upright and relaxed riding position. Among the accessories dedicated to the passenger, a larger saddle and two large grab handles are available.

The Aprilia Tuono V4 is equipped with a trio of Sachs suspensions. Being completely adjustable, they allow everyone to find their own preferred setup, more oriented towards sport on the track or riding on the road. The V4 engine with its unique character and sound is the same unit installed on the Tuono V4 Factory. It is available in two colour variants: Shark Gray and Scorpion Yellow, both opaque and able to enhance the philosophy of the Tuono family, sporty in evening dress. The single-seater tailpiece replacing the passenger seat is standard.

Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory
It has always been the spearhead of the Tuono V4 Aprilia, the most sophisticated and sporty currently in the range. It offers the advanced Öhlins electronic suspension system as standard, developed in close contact with Aprilia engineers. The particular technology of the Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system allows for simple and even customizable calibration of the fork, shock absorber and steering damper.
