The V-Raptor 650 is basically a Raptor 650 with a small nosecone fitted. This largely cosmetic bodywork makes little difference to the bike's top speed and gives no real weather-protection to the rider, but together with the removable carbon-effect seat cowl it does give the V-Raptor a radically different look. On the road, the V-Raptor feels almost identical to the plain bike, although it steers slightly quicker thanks to some small adjustments to the steering geometry and wider handlebars. The 43mm (1.7in) Marzocchi upside-down front forks give excellent feedback from the sporty radial tyre, while the Sachs rear shock is longer than the Raptor's item, raising the back of the motorcycle.
