In 1961 Ducati expanded the production line and produces the quiet version of the 125 sport, the 125 TS, with less features (being less "touched "). Its camshaft was less "racing", making the bike run at a lower rpm and the valves also differed and it had a lower compression ratio. It also appears with the model 175 TS.

Ducatis, known for its high reliability and good performance that turned the world to take notice and with Ricardo Fargas and José M ª Arenas participated with this bike in the rally of 1000 km, it was the best selling model in Spain.
