Ducati enters the cruiser world and does so in its very own way, presenting a real cruiser but one that boasts the design, technicall content and performance that is typical of Ducati bikes. The XDiavel is “low speed excitement”, where the relaxed low-speed riding is typical of the cruiser world, while the excitement and adrenalin of sports riding is unmistakeably Ducati. The X in XDiavel represents precisely that: Two apparently different, distant worlds that come together in one unique bike, a synthesis in which both are complete, without compromise.

The new XDiavel is the meeting of Italian experience and crusier culture,performance that merges with ergonomics. The star is the colour black, and its symbolic meanings, long since used as opposing halves with regard to personality, mystery, strength and elegance.

Long, low, muscular, with modern shapes and technologically cutting-edge components. But above all, sexy. This is how Ducati designers envisaged the XDiavel when they started work on the initial sketches. A bike that combines absolute style with cutting-edge technology. A bike that projects the concept of Cruiser into modern times, towards the future, a true "Technocruiser".

A wide handlebar and footpegs that are further forward. The road runs below the wheels, accompanied by a sense of control and comfort typical of a cruiser. But when it is time to face the corners, XDiavel will astound you. XDiavel is a cruiser, with a level of performance and technical content that allow for riding versatility and unique experiences.

5.000, 60, 40. Three numbers that sum up the XDiavel concept. 5000, the number of revs at which the engine supplies maximum torque; 60, the number of ergonomic riding position configurations; 40, the maximum lean angle in degrees.

5000, as in the revs per minute at which its twin-cylinder reaches the maximum level of torque, equal to 13.1 kgm. An extremely low output for a Ducati engine but perfect for the typical riding of the cruiser world. In addition, the XDiavel engine ensures torque that is greater than 10 kgm already at 2100 rpm, with an extremely flat curve right to the limiter. The maximum power is 156 hp with impressive performance at all speeds.

60, as in the number of different ergonomic configurations available to the rider in terms or riding position. The XDiavel can be customised like a tailored garment thanks to four different footpeg positions, five seats and three handlebars. Added to this is the more comfortable passenger seat option, complete with backrest.

40 degrees is the maximum lean angle that can be reached while cornering. The XDiavel ensures dynamic performance and great riding excitement at all times. Whether the roads are long and straight or full of twists and turns.

The engine is the king
Beautiful, powerful, sophisticated. The XDiavel hasthe latest evolutionary step to the Testastretta engine: the Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262. The increased displacement, combined with the use of the DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) system, allows for incredibly full, but also fluid, torque distribution even at low speeds, while ensuring sports performance at full throttle. In addition, the Ducati Testastretta DVT 1262 is extremely well designed.

Chassis
The fundamental dimensions of the bike (seat height, rake and wheelbase) underline the Cruiser character, ensuring the right balance and more sporty handling.

Belt drive
The XDiavel is the first Ducati to use final belt drive. The system has been developed for XDiavel in order to guarantee reliable and safe power transmission. The benefits of the belt are silence, cleanliness, less maintenance and a fluid response when the throttle is twisted, as suits a Cruiser.

Electronic equipment
The XDiavel enjoys cutting-edge electronics and technology, at the top of the Ducati range. Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Riding Modes, Cruise Control, Hands Free, TFT Dashboard and electric locks with red back-lit keys. Design and technology also come together in the Full LED optical sets, a true example of style on the XDiavel. In addition, the S version is equipped as standard with a DRL (Daytime Running Light) system for the front light.

Ducati Power Launch
The character of the XDiavel is fully expressed thanks also to Ducati Power Launch (DPL). This system is able to ensure safe and fast starts thanks to the IMU that regulates acceleration and DTC intervention depending on the chosen setting. The DPL is activated by pressing the dedicated button. Once activated, you can select the intervention level, pull the clutch, move into first and open the throttle fully. At this point, by coming off the clutch gradually, you can make an explosive get away.
