MODEL UNIQUE FEATURES Style Fit Function Performance ACCESSORIES
Engine Heritage Their iconic look, distinctive sound and massive torque make them instantly recognizable, but the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 and Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engines take the Harley-Davidson® V-Twin to a place it’s never been. They’re the most powerful, coolest-running motors we’ve ever built. Smoother, stronger and more durable. With crisper throttle response and truer, cleaner sound. Four valves per cylinder, single chain-driven cam, dual spark plugs, counter-balanced and rubber mounted. Developed and proven over countless miles and millions of hours. Every single part is new, engineered to give you more performance and more of the feeling you want from an engine. Today, it’s a whole new ride. Control If your appetites run to big, gluttonous quantities of asphalt, we have your motorcycle. It’s built by the perfectionists in Custom Vehicle Operations™, and it starts with the best of everything that makes a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle work so well on the open road. Our top-end brakes, lighting and frame technology. Our all-new dual bending valve front suspension and rear emulsion shocks. At the center of every CVO™ motorcycle is the one thing nothing else on the road offers. 114 cubic inches of Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight™ V-Twin. It gives you bigger power and cooler running temperatures under all operating conditions. That eighteen-wheeler you were thinking about passing? Consider it behind you. Infotainment You want to spend a few hours talking woven carbon fiber cone woofers, polypropylene fiber dome midrange and aluminum dome tweeters? How about an intelligent speed tuning system that adjusts the volume to match whatever speed zone you just blasted into, then balances the level of bass and treble as well? We didn’t think so. Let’s leave it at this: if it makes the sound coming at you in the saddle better than anything else on the road and enhances the experience of whatever devices you’ve brought along for the trip, it’s on your CVO™ motorcycle. Wherever there’s a bit of space, we’ve got it filled with pre-amps, amps and speakers. And it’s all built to work the way riders work, with features like voice activation, a big full-color touchscreen and switches you can reach without taking your hands off the grips. So when you pull up next to some poor driver belted into the seat of his luxury automobile, know this. His infotainment system doesn’t hold a candle to yours. Feel We know that getting to the point in life where you have a Harley-Davidson® CVO™ motorcycle in your garage takes some serious effort. So we pour our effort into making every mile you log on the bike feel like a giant reward. You get our all-new Double Bending Valve front suspension and rear emulsion shocks. Heated hand grips. The enhancements you experience on a CVO bike are the result of our on-going effort to perfect things like airflow, passenger space, seat textures, hand controls and everything else that helps you ride longer, and with a bigger grin on your face. On a CVO motorcycle you can be sure it's as good as it gets.
Style Let’s cut right to the quick here. Center stage on a CVO™ motorcycle goes to the big Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engine, fully tricked out with Screamin’ Eagle badging. Explosive power. Explosive looks. That’s the basic design theme everywhere you look on a Custom Vehicle Operations™ motorcycle. Big, hand-finished paint jobs that knock onlookers straight out of their socks. You get the same knock-out style on the wheels. In the exclusive, chromed custom parts. Even around the bezel of a fairing vent. And the real beauty is that it all comes straight from the Harley-Davidson factory. Unlike some one-off custom bikes out there, everything works. Every custom shop detail has a microscopically tight fit. If looks could kill, a CVO motorcycle would be at the top of the most wanted list. Come to think of it, that’s exactly where it is. ENGINE HERITAGE 2017The All-New Milwaukee-Eight™ Engine The sound of the Harley-Davidson® 45-degree V-Twin rings through the history of motorcycling in an unbroken line stretching back to 1909. Each one improving on the one before it. Iconic. Durable. Unmistakable in their sound. Unparalleled in their muscular look. Unmatched in the feeling they deliver to the rider. And now we’re proud to introduce the most powerful Harley-Davidson engines ever built: The all-new Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 and Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engines. The next generation Harley-Davidson® V-Twin comes to our touring line. The next era of power, performance and innovation has been forged. 1999 – Today Twin Cam The second two-cam Big Twin in our history, after the 1928 JDH, with bigger displacement, more power, and a more rigid engine/transmission connection for improved powertrain stiffness. 1984 – 1999 Evolution® The first H-D engine developed using Computer Aided Design. The “Evo” was an evolution, an all-new engine that ran better, used less fuel and delivered more horsepower and torque. 1966 – 1984 Shovelhead We rolled into the modern touring era with a new engine on the original Electra Glide® model. “Power Pac” aluminum heads, 12-volt electrical system, carburetor and easily adjustable timing system. Its nickname comes from the “shoveled-out” look of the middle section of the rocker covers. 1948 – 1965 Panhead New aluminum cylinder heads, new hydraulic valve lifters, better oil
circulation and roller bearings on the crankpin reduced weight, and added
durability. The nickname describes the rocker covers looking like upside down
pans. The Knucklehead was nicknamed for its rocker covers and push rod tubes, resembling a clenched fist. It was the first H-D twin with overhead valves and recirculating oil. Considered the father of all H-D® V-Twin air-cooled engines, its architecture has carried forward to today. 1929 – 1973 Flathead The Flathead engine got its nickname from the flat shape of the heads. It didn’t have valves in the cylinder head; they were set off to the side. It featured easily removable heads for serviceability. 1911 – 1929 F-Head Designed to bring more power to street, police and commercial applications, it featured a waterproof ignition system and 61, and later, 74 cubic inches of displacement. 1909 Atmospheric V-Twin It began with 27 motorcycles. 49.5 cubic inches. 7 horsepower. The 45-degree Harley-Davidson® V-Twin engine is born. CONTROL Fairing Mounted Instruments There's a whole lot of country out there to look at, so we designed the gauges to give you the more mundane details of the trip with a quick and easy glance. Here's a rundown of what you get in the 2-inch spun-aluminum-faced gauges: electronic speedometer with odometer, dual resettable trip meter, fuel range countdown, engine diagnostic readout; plus LED Indicator lights for low fuel, battery, engine diagnostics, 6-speed, cruise control, ABS, security system, turn signals, neutral, high beam and low oil pressure. Steering Head and Front Forks Whether it’s a big sweeping curve or a set of tight turns, getting through the corners just got better. We stiffened up the front end and increased the fork diameter to 49mm, an increase of 18 percent. The responsiveness is dialed in. Plus a steering damper controls feedback from the road. So when you're out with your bagger buddies, you'll stay right at the front of the pack.
Ventilator Elite Air Cleaner Centered in the classic lines of the Twin-Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engine your eyes can't miss the Ventilator Elite Air Cleaner Cover with Screamin Eagle® 114 insert. It leaves no doubt that this engine means business. Tire Pressure Monitoring System The big 6.5-inch full-color touch screen on the CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle
is loaded with handy info to keep you rolling, including a Harley-Davidson
first: tire-pressure monitoring right in the display. No need to pull over and
dig out the tire gauge to make sure you’ve got your psi up to snuff. A glance
down at the big display and you know you’re good to go. There’s also an alert
light on the odometer, just to make sure you’re covered. The premium custom look goes the distance on the CVO™ Street Glide® model
with the chrome dual exhaust. Now with a relocated rear exhaust port that moves
heat away from the passenger, it features 4-inch touring mufflers, chrome end
caps and chrome exhaust shields. Relish in the rumble and performance of these
high-end pipes. If you started in 1909 with the very first Harley-Davidson® V-Twin engine and
worked your way up through every engine, every innovation, every improvement,
every ride, every durability test in all those years and countless miles since,
you arrive at the Twin Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engine. This is the top of
the line. 114 cubic inches of air and precision cooled Harley-Davidson® V-Twin
engine power. Twin cooling cools the heads around the exhaust ports to deliver
at or near peak performance under all operating conditions and temperatures.
Today, it’s a whole new ride. Here are eight ways the new Twin-Cooled™ Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engine gives you a better ride: More Power- Bigger cylinders, four-valve cylinder heads and dual spark plugs deliver 10% more torque and more power throughout the rev range with no net weight gain. Better Fuel Economy - The power comes with improved fuel economy to give you more out of every tank of gas. Heat Management- Precision oil or water cooling for cooler running and consistent performance, from stop-and-go traffic to highway speeds. More Passenger Comfort- Positions for the rear exhaust pipe and catalytic converters provide a more comfortable ride. More Charging Power- A charging system with 50% more power at idle to make easy work of the demands modern touring features put on an electrical system. Smoother Running- The counter-balancing system, rubber mounts, lower idle speed and dual knock sensors for more precise timing control and smoother running from idle to top gear. Less Maintenance-The valve train requires no adjustment no matter how many years or miles you ride. Narrow Primary- The narrower primary drive gives your left foot a straighter, easier reach to the ground, for an easier lift off and more control at stoplights. Compared to 2016 CVO models. Based on estimates from laboratory exhaust emissions tests specified by EPA,
not during on road riding. Actual mileage and fuel economy will vary depending
on bike model and configuration, how you ride/maintain your bike, road
conditions, and other factors. Delivery of fuel is accomplished with a technology appropriate to a top of the line touring CVO™ motorcycle. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection with heated O2 sensors to ensure there's never a hiccup no matter what the riding conditions. Hydraulic Assist & Slip Clutch Kicking through the gear box feels as premium as everything else on the
one-of-a-kind machine thanks to a hydraulic Assist & Slip clutch. No doubt about it, there are times when you need to haul things down in a
hurry. And you don’t get to pick those times. Or decide whether or not they
occur when you’re on a flat, smooth, dry, perfect stretch of pavement. That’s
why our touring models feature the Reflex™ Linked Brembo® Brakes with ABS. ABS
turns a locked-up front wheel or a rear wheel skid into a relic from riding’s
history. And the front and rear brakes are electronically linked to provide
exactly the right amount of brake to each tire no matter what the road condition
is. No matter how good you are, this will make you a better rider. The 180mm back tire is engineered to do more than fill out the rear fender
and put a bigger patch of rubber on the road. Dunlop® Multi-Tread™ technology
uses harder compounds at the center and softer on the sides for a tire that
still knows how to knuckle down on corners. Perfect for making this bike agile
on every curvy stretch of road. And the way it feels going through an abrupt
off-camber turn will put a grin on your face that'll last to the next state
line. Touring means maximum comfort in all conditions and the capacity to add
whatever enhances and personalizes your ride. The high output charging system
provides an electrical capacity robust enough for your add-ons: heated vests,
heated seats, heated handgrips, lights to showcase the engine, you name it. So
if you're hell-bent on two-wheeling it, we make sure you've got the juice to do
it your way. No question a battery charging harness is a must-have on a motorcycle. Now it’s standard. So you don’t have to waste even the ten minutes it takes to install one on some sunny Saturday when you could be riding. Bullet Turn Signals and LED Lighting Bullet turn signals are a long-time favorite of the long-haul Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, for their ability to give the bike a sleek, modern style. We took the CVO™ Street Glide® lighting even further by loading the housings with blazing LED lamps all the way around. You have what it takes to grab the attention of everyone around you. 6-Speed Cruise Drive® Transmission You want a ride that rumbles, not begs for mercy when you lean on it a
little. The 6-Speed Cruise Drive® Transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting
and reduces engine speed on the highway, so you get a better match between
engine turnover and road speed. And the Isolated Drive System makes acceleration
flow in a smooth, steady stream from your wrist right down to the pavement. It's
a rare ride when a bike responds like this, and a low growl goes a long way when
you're opening up the road ahead. We matched the all-new Milwaukee-Eight™ engines in our touring line this year with a totally re-engineered dual bending valve front and rear suspension with easily-adjustable emulsion shocks. It's lowered one inch to give you more comfort, more control and more confidence in your handling. New rear shocks give you 15 to 30% more pre-load. They adjust with the turn of a single knob, no tools required. New, bigger pistons have more area than before for improved damping performance over the range of the suspension travel. This new fork technology improves the ride, especially over the harshest bumps, and reacts faster to keep the wheel planted for confident braking and handling. INFOTAINMENT 6.5-inch Full Color Touch Screen Display This 6.5-inch full-color touch screen puts all your information in front of you bigger than ever. Modern graphics, colors you can dial in, and auto and manual dim. Designed to sit stylishly inside your fairing, it takes screen technology to an eye-popping level of Harley-Davidson functionality. This is more than you expect, but when you’re going all the way, it’s everything you deserve. 6.5 inch BOOM!™ Stage II 3-way front speakers Big, clear sound for your stereo is what you want and that’s what you get on
the CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle. It’s served up via 6.5” BOOM!™ Audio Stage II
3-way speakers in front. They make the sound coming at you as epic as the road
ahead. You can count on premium sound quality to go with all the volume thanks to
the custom-tuned static and dynamic Equalizer that comes standard on the CVO™
Street Glide® motorcycle. There’s nothing better than the right road, the right
song and a sound system dialed in for the ride. The 6.5” BOOM!™ Stage II speakers in the front are powered by a 300 watt
amplifier, with a separate amp channel for the 6.5" woven carbon fiber cone
woofer, and another one powering the polypropylene fiber dome midrange and
aluminum dome tweeter. Even the stereo on this machine has plenty of muscle. The Jukebox opens with one touch of a button and includes a USB connection
which accepts your iPhone, iTouch, non-iPod imitators, and SD card and other USB
compatible devices. Pop it open, plug in and your device becomes a part of your
motorcycle. Ready to be operated by voice command or hand controls. The Boom!™ Box 6.5GT gives you voice recognition for hands-free operation of your mobile phone, navigation system and music. It’s also Bluetooth capable. Whatever you want, just say the word. Whether it’s directions to the next gas station, a call back to the office you’re not at today or a song that fits the stretch of road you’re on, it’ll be served up without missing a beat. FEEL Color-Matched Splitstream Vent Trim The CVO™ Street Glide® Motorcycle is loaded with long-haul function, but what
really makes a machine like this rule the highway is all the form built into
every last functional detail. Take the splitstream vent in the fairing. It’s a
key innovation in rider comfort, but we took it a step further and color-matched
it to the fairing’s dazzling paint to make sure the front end of the bike looks
tight and clean. The only thing as fun as getting lost in the countryside is
getting lost just staring into the details of your ride. Classic style and maximum comfort. That's the perfect balance of the wide set handlebars that come standard on the CVO™ Street Glide® model. They're designed to keep you comfortably propped in a commanding position while making sure your neck muscles stay calm and relaxed mile after mile, state after state. Durable stainless steel ensures the structural rigidity you expect from a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle with the deep, lustrous finish you desire. Two Up Seating Modern styling and comfort that doesn't sacrifice an ounce of nostalgic
style: this ultimate Touring saddle features a sculpted seat with a deeper
contoured bucket and narrower neck, to relieve pressure on your thighs, while
providing more back support and comfort for a wide variety of rider sizes. And
the lower seat height—26.1 inches to be exact—puts your feet closer to the road
to enhance your confidence. Additionally, the leather trim and premium stitching
accentuate the advanced ergonomics while giving the seat that sharp detail you
only find on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. It's science in service of comfort,
and your way to beat fatigue over the long haul. Here’s the rule we laid down for every compartment cover and saddlebag lid on our touring line: if it doesn’t open with the single touch of a button or one hand, while wearing gloves, it doesn’t go on the motorcycle. Because in all our conversations with riders, we've never encountered a single individual who wanted to have to put something on the ground before he could store it in a saddlebag. Keyless Ignition Fob with Integrated Security Walk up to the CVO™ Street Glide® model, throw your leg over the saddle and go. This is about using the innovations that make the ride better. And keyless ignition is one of them. Even better, our all-in-one fob also includes automatic security and locking functions. STYLE Pure Harley-Davidson Styling You can identify the all-new Milwaukee-Eight™ 114 engine from 25 feet away. The racing scoop style of the air cleaner is all it takes to see that this is the new Harley-Davidson power plant. But when you look a little closer, you’ll notice that the things that are good about the authentic, air-cooled look of the Harley-Davidson® V-Twin are alive and well. It’s a jewel machined out of metal, head-heavy and narrow at the waist. Finned cylinders, of course. Pure. Dripping with power. The engine is the visual center piece of the bike. This one makes an ironclad statement about holding on to what’s right and staying true to what satisfies. High-Impact Paint and Graphics Individually crafted and hand-finished paint and hand applied graphics come
standard on all Harley-Davidson® Custom Vehicle Operations™ motorcycles,
balancing style and premium appeal to create one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle
masterpieces. The CVO™ Street Glide® model offers four exclusive color schemes:
Starfire Black with Atomic Red, Sunburst Orange with Starfire Black, Candy
Cobalt with Indigo Ink and Dark Slate Candy with Arctic Black. Skimping? The
word's simply not in our vocabulary. A premium gloss black finish comes standard on the inner fairing of the CVO™
Street Glide® motorcycle. It has raised black-faced stadium style gauges, a
lighted tic band, and an electronic speedometer with a spun aluminum finish. All
there because on a bike like this one, you can't help but go the extra mile. Bullet turn signals are a long-time favorite of the long-haul Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, for their ability to give the bike a sleek, modern style. We took the CVO™ Street Glide® lighting even further by loading the housings with blazing LED lamps all the way around. You have what it takes to grab the attention of everyone around you. Chrome Tank Console with New Custom Inserts Mounted on top of the classic Harley-Davidson® fuel tank, the CVO™ Street
Glide® motorcycle features a chrome console with custom inserts. Part of the unmistakable style of the Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle is plenty of room for showing off your paint. This classically styled, bold fuel tank doesn't just give you a bigger canvas for premium or custom paint; it holds 6 gallons of gas so you can eat up a lot more road between pit stops. We know fuel economy is important—but so is style. Sharp, eye-catching colors and precision-crafted Harley-Davidson® tank medallions complete the unique look of this tough bagger. Custom Low Profile, Two-Piece Seat with Inserts and Custom Stitching Check out the custom, low profile seat on the CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle. Note the inserts and custom stitching on the seat. Craftsmanship like this is getting harder to find in the world today, but as long as we’re making CVO™ motorcycles, you’ll know where to look. Extended Saddlebags with Integrated 5” x 7” BOOM!™ Audio Stage II 3-Way Speakers The CVO™ Street Glide® model features injection molded extended saddlebags.
They not only give you full-on hot rod bagger style, they give you booming sound
for your stereo thanks to integrated 5” x 7” BOOM!™ Audio Stage II 3-way
speakers. You also get carryout liners for getting your stuff from the parking
lot to the motel, secure locks and easy one-hand operation. Design enhancements to the derby cover and insert doesn't just look good,
they add a bit of function as well by providing more leg clearance for the
rider. It wouldn't be a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle if we didn't sweat the details.
Note the color-matched fairing skirt on the CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle this
year. You also get a matching upper fork and slider cover. It's that little bit
of extra attention in the design studio that gets a little bit of extra respect
on the street. The CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle rolls off the line with a full complement
of custom touches from the Airflow Collection: full-length rider footboards with
heel/toe shift levers, height-adjustable passenger footboards, engine guard,
mid-frame air deflectors and splitstream vent. You want more. More is what you
get. One button, one touch, fuel door open. Any questions? Notice the clean, no-nonsense lines of the rear fascia. Mounted inside, there
are LED brake and rear turn signals. They not only give the CVO™ Street Glide®
motorcycle a modern custom finish, they blast out light that's hard for the
driver behind you to ignore. You roll in style on the CVO™ Street Glide® motorcycle. You’ve got 5-spoke polished aluminum Aggressor wheels front and back with matching 5-spoke floating front rotors. The Mirror Chrome Aggressor wheel perfectly matched to models with the chrome engine. When the paint scheme includes a blacked-out engine, we go with Contrast Chrome Aggressor wheels to further dial up the tough visual theme. Either way, the cut back front fender exposes the whole show to the world. Custom Vehicle Operations™ are about big engines, big paint and big wheels. As you can see, this one has the wheels covered in spades. Candy Cobalt/Indigo Ink Sunburst Orange/Starfire Black, Starfire Black/Atomic Red and Dark Slate Candy/Arctic Black.
