The Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® is restyled for 2013 as a stripped-down and rowdy bobber based on the Harley-Davidson® Dyna® platform to capture the pure essence of motorcycling; a brawny American V-Twin engine powering a bike with essential equipment and not much more. The Street Bob also serves as a great starting point for the rider intent on personal customization, which is now why it can also be personalized through H-D1™ factory customization. This web-based program allows customers to select factory-installed options that personalize fit, function and style in more than 2,000 combinations. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96™ powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, clean rear fender with combination stop/tail/turn lighting and side-mount license plate, a round air cleaner and new scallop graphics in a two-tone paint option.

"Our focus for the Street Bob® model is always on street appeal," said Harley-Davidson Styling Manager, Tony Pink. "This bike is for the owner who would order a muscle car with the biggest motor and no radio. As part of this restyle, we cleaned off the rear fender, ditched the battery box trim, and bolted on a classic round air-cleaner cover. The goal is to create the elemental Big Twin that a Customer can define as his own. Then we selected an array of options for H-D1TM that allow the owner to take the Street Bob® [model] in many different stylistic directions."

The defining elements of the Street Bob® model are retained for 2013 - a solo seat, chopped rear fender, and mini ape-hanger handlebar give this motorcycle an unmistakable profile. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96TM powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, chopped rear fender, a round air-cleaner, and new scallop graphics in a two-tone paint option.

Recalling the iconic rebel styling of ‘70s custom bikes, Hard Candy Custom™ paint marks another milestone in The Motor Company’s legacy of innovation. We start with several passes of 200 micron flake over a black base, then clear coat it, hand-lay the graphics, and apply the many layers of clear coat to allow the flake to shine through. It’s a painstaking process that delivers a premium custom look straight from the factory, so you can start flying your colors with no waiting or extra effort.

Mini "Ape-Hanger" Handlebar

Grab hold of the stainless steel mini ape-hanger handlebar and put your fists way into the wind. The style is pure post-war bobbers, and we keep it clean and minimalist by routing the wires inside the steel. And new for 2013, we've rubber-isolated the bars with separate risers and blacked out top triple clamps, so you can ride more comfortably, with less vibration, and can accessorize with less hassle.

New Blacked Out Console

A big part of the 2013 Street Bob® model’s raw look—and another refinement you asked for—this blacked-out, gas tank-mounted console delivers minimalist style and big functionality. The full-length console is textured-black and includes an integrated barrel-key ignition switch and LED indicator lights, electronic speedometer with gear/RPM indicator, tach, clock, trip-meter, and engine diagnostics.

Chopped Rear Fender

Lose the support covers and a good chunk of metal and you get another important feature of the bobber from yesteryear: the chopped rear fender. Stripped down clean, this fender offers just enough surface for low-profile taillights and a side mounted license plate bracket. Give other riders more tire to look at when you blow past them.

Stop-Turn-Tail Lights

Our motorcycles are built to be ridden. A lot. So that means that rider comfort is top of mind. Always. With the Engine Idle Temperature Management Strategy (EITMS) feature, the motorcycle automatically cuts fuel and fire from rear cylinder when idling, which helps reduce engine heat felt by rider and passenger. This feature can easily be turned on by your dealer.
