Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team plans to reclaim their
dominance in the bike division in the 2021 Dakar Rally. KTM has enjoyed
great success at the event with an impressive 18 consecutive victories between
2001 and 2019.
Since then they have been focused on regaining their Dakar crown
and coming up with a fresh looking KTM 450 Rally bike.
Despite a shortened rally-raid season in 2020, there remains a
group of elite offroad bikers looking to start 2021 in the best way possible –
by winning the Dakar Rally. Among this group of fearless riders are Red Bull KTM
Factory Racing trio: Toby Price, Sam Sunderland and Matthias Walkner with Daniel
Sanders joining the KTM Factory Racing Junior Rally Program.
The 2021 KTM 450 Rally race bike is powered by a 450cc
four-stroke single and makes around 60hp at the rear wheel. The suspension
is by WP and features 52mm cone valve forks.
The 450 Rally has two 9 litres fuel tanks in the front and a 16
litre tank at the rear which in total takes 34 liters (8.98 gallons) of fuel.
Fully fuelled the bike weights about 350 lbs / 159 kg.
For 2021 the riders only get six sets of tires for the whole
event and the KTM 450 Rally bikes are shot with Michelin tyres.
Any corrections or more information on these motorcycles will be kindly appreciated.
