The V75 appeared in 1985 and was a development of the small Guzzi's the term that usually the series V35, V50 and V65 is indicated. This series was designed around 1975 by Lino Tonti in an attempt to obtain, particularly in the Italian market. Greater market share for Moto Guzzi

The model is characterized by a state of the art and above all, practical construction, in which the rocker arm together with the rear wheel is attached to a hinge point in the gearbox. Anyone who has had to do, once a major repair or maintenance know how amazingly useful this construction. Because really quite easily the upper frame can be detached in combination with the front wheel of the lower chassis, whereby the engine block and rear wheels remain and are known to work. Extremely visible The other part then drive over the front wheel off and put it in a place where it does not interfere with your work.

Initially, the V75 was equipped with a four-valve head, so that the model had a very sporty character. Unfortunately, this character is not to everyone's taste, combined with the fact that the technique was a lot of maintenance and sometimes went broke prematurely fell.

Moto Guzzi then quickly came up with a modified V75 from which again had the familiar two-valve heads and a more quietly engine character. The engine power was reduced to a punchy 65 hp to a very modest 46 hp, even less than the 52 hp from the V65. Unfortunately, this surgery if the model does not help in the Netherlands to win. Many enthusiasts Perhaps the design and power were yet again something quiet. Anyway, the V75 in its original form is a rare appearance.

Much rarer still is the touring version with full fairing, a development of the V75. This model was the type designation 750 SP with analogy of the 1000 SP (Spada). Outside the Netherlands, this model was sold to many police forces. It is recognizable by its large confortable tour streamlined cockpit with high windshields, saddlebags (not shown here) and is a full lightweight alternative (only 185 pounds) for the larger 850 T5 and 1000 SP. Equipped with suitcases, the 750 SP a comfortable journey machine technically constructed more practical than the big Guzzi's. With the two valve heads also features a highly reliable machine that you rarely place for surprises.
