Moto Guzzi introduced the 757cc via an 83mm bore in 1968, and at the same time receiving larger valves and dual valve springs. The fuel tank was enlarged, the frame lengthened and strengthened, and the model designated the 750 Ambassador in the US, and V7 Special across the rest of the world. The V7 Special retained a right-side gearshift, while the US Ambassador now shifted on the left. Production lasted until 1974, and many more were produced compared to the V7 (nearly 12,000).  A police version was also produced.
