SPORTS DNA

The GSX-S950 boasts the DNA of a true sports bike, the result of a know-how acquired over decades of developing winning super sports bike with advanced technologies derived from MotoGP. The 999cc DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine it is the one with the largest cubic capacity in the segment for A2 license holders, it delivers generous and linear power and torque throughout the rev range, offering punctual and vigorous responses.

Electronic throttle bodies help achieve a better balance between acceleration and power delivery, allowing for greater control when opening the throttle when cornering. Iridium spark plugs increase combustion efficiency, helping to deliver a smoother throttle response, easier starting and more stable idle.

10-hole injectors improve fuel vaporization for lower fuel consumption, while changes to the internal structure of the air filter box help increase maximum power.

CHASSIS

The compact and lightweight cycling package makes the GSX-S950 agile and fun to ride, giving a great feeling of handling and control in all conditions. The twin-beam aluminum frame helps ensure exceptional handling and excellent road holding. The straight main sections are ideal for combining high stiffness and low weight. The aluminum alloy swingarm is inherited directly from the GSX-R1000 and further contributes to obtaining high road holding as well as a superbike look.

The handlebar features a wider grip and a closer position, allowing the rider to perform more natural maneuvers with less effort. The saddle design has been revised to offer a more comfortable riding position without giving up a sporty setting. In addition, the low height of the saddle from the ground (810 mm) allows you to easily rest your feet during stops.

WISELY SCULPTED MUSCLES AND AGILITY

The LED headlight with overlapping hexagonal lenses finds space in a front with compact and sharp shapes, which give the GSX-S950 a decidedly modern and captivating look. 3-LEVEL "BRIDGE OPENER" SYSTEM (SUZUKI TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM)

The system continuously monitors wheel speed, engine rpm, throttle position and gear engaged. The device is designed to limit power and thus prevent skidding when the ECU detects the risk of imminent loss of grip. This improves stability, giving you greater mastery and reducing stress and effort in driving.

The GSX-S950 offers 3 different levels of traction control, to suit different situations, styles and levels of experience. The system can also be deactivated. The higher the mode number, the faster and more proactive the system intervenes to limit wheel slip.

Note: Electronic Traction Control is not a substitute for rider control of the throttle. This device cannot prevent loss of grip due to excessive speed when the rider enters the motorcycle on a bend and / or applies the brakes. Furthermore, it does not prevent the loss of grip of the front wheel.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

The 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system has been completely redesigned and tuned to comply with Euro 5 emission standards, in order to maximize performance and improve the quality of the sound emitted without sacrificing its clean and essential.

The changes concern the layout of the manifolds, a new structure for the compensator and the introduction of a second catalytic converter inside the compensator itself. The redesigned structure of the compensation ducts between the cylinder pairs improves the efficiency of the secondary air system, which increases the ability to purify the exhaust gases. Also, the manifold is now longer and the Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) valve is positioned slightly differently.

RIDE-BY-WIRE ELECTRONIC ACCELERATOR

By exploiting the 32-bit electronic control unit to control the movements of the throttle valves, the new system precisely adjusts the power delivery according to the rotation of the accelerator. The result is smoother acceleration that responds more closely to your wishes, both in smooth road driving and sportier driving, while also giving you more control when you open the throttle out of corners.

"PARTIFACILE" SYSTEM (LOW RPM ASSIST)

It uses the TI-ISC (Throttle-body Integrated Idle Speed ​​Control) to gradually increase the number of revolutions when starting from a standstill or when moving at low speed. Updated to interact with the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), making starting easier and preventing the engine from stopping, the system is of great help in the constant stop-and-go of urban traffic.

EASY START SYSTEM

Thanks to this system, the engine starts with a quick press of the “Start” button without having to pull the clutch lever when the transmission is in neutral. As this function is used often, the Easy Start makes using the motorcycle more enjoyable and relaxing.

SUZUKI CLUTCH ASSIST SYSTEM

The slipper clutch helps make decelerations smoother, partially disengaging to reduce the effect of the engine brake when downshifting. This is added to the introduction of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System, an assistance function that makes clutch engagement firmer under acceleration, thus allowing the use of softer springs. The clutch is therefore lighter to operate and reduces hand fatigue in urban traffic or prolonged use.

SPORTS SUSPENSION

The 43mm KYB upside-down fork makes riding sporty and comfortable. The rear suspension with levers can be adjusted in spring preload and extension, to adapt to the course of the road surface in order to keep the bike agile and stable.

BRAKING SYSTEM

At the front, the GSX-S950 features a double 310mm disc with radial mount Tokico brake calipers. The ABS system helps the rider to maintain control of the bike even under heavy braking.

HIGH PERFORMANCE WHEELS AND TIRES

The aluminum alloy wheels feature a six-spoke design that combines a sporty appearance and a rigid and light structure. They are equipped with new Dunlop Roadsport 2 radial tires, featuring an internal structure designed specifically to perform at their best on the GSX-S950 and a tread with a new compound that increases grip in the wet, heats up faster and wears out less.

FULL LCD INSTRUMENTATION

The instrument panel gathers all the necessary information on a full LCD screen, which uses a clear and intuitive layout with the indications shown in order of priority. The dashboard features a custom display with unique graphics and white backlighting.

The LCD panel allows you to view speedometer, tachometer, odometer, dual tripmeter (A, B), gear engaged, water temperature, range, stopwatch, average consumption, instantaneous consumption, traction control mode, fuel level, clock, voltage battery, rpm indicator and maintenance reminder.

The LED lights flanking the display relate to direction indicators, high beam, neutral, engine fault, general alarm, ABS, traction control, and low voltage, high coolant temperature and low oil pressure alarms.
