The Suzuki SP370 was the first Suzuki motorcycle with a single cylinder four-stroke engine, if you don't count the short-lived Colleda CO and COX models from the fifties. Unfortunately it had a bit too weak engine and it was a bit too expensive to become a great success.

A power-restricted model called SR370 was offered in some countries, including Russia and Germany. It had a 17 hp engine (12,4 kW at 5,950 rpm) using 22 mm Bing carburetor instead of 32 mm Mikuni that was mounted on the SP370.

The SP370 was replaced in 1980 by the SP400, a similar bike but with a more powerful engine.
