The Japanese customers are offered some retro design Suzukis that are not available in Europe. One of them is the ST 250, first shown on Tokyo Motor Show in 2003. It has a 250cc single cylinder four-stroke engine with two valves per cylinder, traditional suspension and tubular steel frame. A direct plating processing to the aluminum cylinder inner wall called SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) is used for light weight and heat resistance. Otherwise it's a traditional motorcycle with classic looks, no more or less. There's a big market for bikes like the ST250 in Asia, while the customers here in Europe don't even get a change to see those simple bikes with cool design.
There is also a model version called ST250 E type with two-tone fuel tank, polished engine, chromed exhaust pipe, CDI ignition and an extra kick starter.
Any corrections or more information on these motorcycles will be kindly appreciated. |
