Triumph Bonneville Features and Benefits

The name and look may be traditional, but don’t for one second think that the Bonneville is old-fashioned.

At the heart is a modern 865cc parallel-twin engine that’s fuel-injected for easy starting, sweet running and compliance to even the strictest modern emissions regulations. You’ll have to look twice though, as traditional carburettor bodies are used to disguise the throttle bodies.
Keeping it all in check is a modern chassis that provides sweet handling and stunning agility, thanks in no small part to those 17” alloy wheels, while the low seat height makes the Bonneville manageable and unintimidating for riders of all ages and experience.

A wide range of accessories are also available for the Bonneville, allowing riders to personalise the Bonneville to meet their specific needs.

Engine
The Bonneville features a fuel injection system designed for clean running and to meet Euro 3 legislation. The retro styling remains uncompromised though, as the fuel injectors are cleverly concealed by throttle bodies designed to look like traditional carbs. Polished alloy side covers come as standard on the new Bonneville.

Wheels
The Bonneville sports stylish lightweight 17” cast alloy wheels, creating an all new look and improving the bike’s agility and low speed handling characteristics.

Exhaust System
Stylish megaphone exhausts mimic those sported by the raciest bikes in the 1970s.

Brakes
The braking set-up of single front 310mm disc and 255mm rear, both worked on by powerful twin-piston calipers, offers sensitivity, control and ample stopping power.

Seat
Bonneville’s comfortable seat is 35mm/1.3in lower than on previous models. Combined with a revised riding position, the latest Bonneville provides a more relaxed and accessible ride than ever before.

Chassis
The Bonneville’s low seat height (740mm/29.1inches) and low centre of gravity make it a manageable motorcycle that all riders – ranging from those with little experience to those with lots – can appreciate. The tubular steel double cradle frame is incredibly strong while offering light and precise handling.
