The ST1300 can show the best qualities in both long-distance travels on roads and worse riding conditions. It is a combination of the luxurious Gold Wing style with aerodynamic bodywork and excellent performance represented by a powerful V-four engine, race-bred chassis, shaft drive and ABS. This is what makes it perfect on highways and wild mountain passes. The model will hopefully continue Honda’s traditions of quality. The 2016 ST1300 will come with some refreshments and improvements. To start with, the new ST1300 will have a little bit smaller dimensions. This fact doesn’t affect the power. The bike’s weight is 703 lbs, and its width is 39 inches. However, it will improve the handling and maneuverability as well as careen freedom. With relatively low and convenient three-position seat the motorcycle can offer really enjoyable riding. Good brakes and perfect balance are worth to be remarked too. The Combined Braking System offered for the 2016 Honda ST1300 as standard includes two hydraulic discs for the front wheel and one hydraulic disc for the rear wheel. The innovative features also include an electronically adjustable windscreen. In the rear part the bike will be equipped with two removable side saddlebags providing enough storing space. Additionally a bigger central saddlebag can be mounted as an option. The 2016 Honda ST1300 will be powered by an 90° V-four DOHC liquid-cooled engine with total displacement of 1261 cc. This power unit is capable to produce over 120 hp with redline of 8000 rpm and 125 N-m of torque at maximum 6000 rpm. Featuring five-speed transmission the drivetrain provides irreproachable riding on any type of surfaces. The suspension system includes a 45-mm HMAS cartridge fork in the front and a gas-charged single shock in the rear. All of this allows the motorcycle to accelerate up to 225 km/h. As far as fuel economy, the official information says that it is rated at 5 l/100 km, but accurate rates depend on riding style and workload.
