Italian motorcycle brand Fantic has expanded its model range by introducing a new Rally Explorer. The Fantic Caballero 500 Explorer joins the Scrambler, Flat Track and Rally versions, and uses the same 449 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the other 500 models in the range.

ENGINE

The single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, electonic fuel injection engine is now Euro5 compliant. It provides a great performance on the asphalt, combined with efficiency on off-road tracks. The ECU control unit has an updated mapping, ensuring an even smoother engine power at all RPMs and also optimising performance in terms of maximum power and torque. The exhaust system is made in Italy by Arrow with twin chrome silencers.

CHASSIS

Caballero Rally Explorer 500 is the most off-road oriented model of the family. The Caballero range features a Chrome-molybdenum steel central-tube frame. This technical choice favours lightness once again, ensuring incredible agility and comfort. The front forks are a 43mm upside-down FANTIC FRS, adjustable in compression and preload; the rear suspension is also the adjustable FANTIC FRS. The spoked 19" front and 17" rear wheels give it a real scrambler look, enhanced further with the fitting of Michelin Anakee Wild knobby tyres. The 320mm front and 230mm rear wave brake dics and disengageable Continental dual-channel ABS guarantee great safety in every situation.

The adjustable suspensions with 200mm excursion and the aluminium rear swing arm allow you to deal with any terrain will face the high performance Michelin Anakee Wild, while the rear rack, tank and side bags offer you the best load capacity you can ask for. Do not worry if the trip hides dangers: With the new side protections, together with the engine protection plate and other protection grills the Caballero Explorer 500 is ready for anything.

AESTHETICS

The Caballero Rally Explorer offers a lot of new adventure upgrades: handlebars with crossbar, front fender, engine skid plate, headlamp protection grille, front number plate, off-road tyres. Other new accessories have been added, such as the iconic tank bag, the rear bag-carrier frame and the side bag-carrier frame together with a 17 litres side bag, the side protection bars are ideal to protect the motorbike even in the most extreme situations. Unique tank colouring, a bicolour model where the white and bronze colours are connected by a black line which sections the tank cover longitudinally. The new side and front plates show a new graphic design specifically created for the Explorer model.
