Powerful 2-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 853 cc. F 750 GS: 77 hp (57 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 61 lb-ft (83 Nm) at 6,000 rpm. F 850 GS: 90 hp (66 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 63 lb-ft (86 Nm) at 6,250 rpm.
