Ducati Touring flavor of the popular GT 1000, a 2009-labeled model which comes with several new features beside the ones already installed on its predecessor.

According to the official Ducati website, the GT 1000 Touring was especially designed to represent “a tribute to the essential beauty of Ducati GT models of the 1970s” and is described as the perfect bike “for longer journeys as well as for every day use.” Beside the base GT 1000 model, the Touring edition comes with chrome front and rear fenders, a chrome luggage rack and a protective screen.

The bike provides maximum comfort for both the rider and the passenger, the website adds, thanks to the fact that the “footpeg positions are designed to ensure a relaxed ride with maximum comfort.”

And to get to more technical stuff, the new bike has an L-twin cylinder, air cooled engine with a displacement of 992 cc. The engine is able to produce a maximum power of 92 hp and a torque of 9.3 kgm at 6000 rpm. The GT 1000 Touring uses a Marelli electronic fuel injection, a wet multiplate clutch with hydraulic control and a 6-speed gearbox with a chain final drive.
