Gilera KK 125
KK was born as fully faired
version of KZ, although it should not be considered an evolution of this:
both bikes, in fact, born from the pencil of Luciano Marabese and are
presented together with the Milan Show in November 1985. However, the Gilera
prefers to await the market's reaction to KZ and sports, also because of the
requirement of helmets introduced in 1986 that drastically reduces the
number of motorcycles registered in Italy, KK decides to market only in
December 1986. The strategy adopted by Gilera proves yet effective and KK
sells pretty well, also because of the delay by up to 1987 competitors who
submitted were unable to market their models. A good result for the home of
Arcore, but now the die is cast and the competition this exceptional models
as the 'Project 108 and the AF1 Aprilia Cagiva C9 and then opening the way
for the best years of 125. 125 years of sports.
