Gilera MX-R 125 Endurance
Launched in February 1989 and immediately sold, the MX-R Top Gilera Endurance is the evolution of the previous MX-1. In the field of strategy Gilera 125 Sport for 1989 was twofold: first, the MX-R suitable for sixteen more peaceful and the other unpublished SP01 designed for racing in the Sport Production and suitable for most geeks. Unfortunately for Gilera, this strategy was not rewarded by the market: an ever in the market for 125 and an identity crisis of the Gilera brand brought serious financial problems. Problems that will become every year more 'important to the acquisition by Piaggio in 1991 and the definitive closure of establishments Arcore in 1992. Although with a new full fairing, a new headlamp with dual light move and some technical refinement, although the MX-R is not valid can help improve the balance of the Gilera. A pity.
The MX-R remained in the list until 1991.
